Armenia: Lest They Perish

A documentary about the events surrounding the legacy of Near East Relief (NER), a humanitarian organization created in 1915 to save the lives of Armenians and other Ottoman Christians in the aftermath of WWI. NER would become known as the Near East Foundation (NEF), and is the oldest organization of its kind. The Foundation of Foundations, its innovative models became the base for development and relief programs such as the Marshall Plan, the Peace Corps, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Today, NEF is no longer a relief organization. NEF is a nonsectarian, apolitical development organization that actively builds and supports prosperous, sustainable communities and operates in seven countries across the Middle East and Africa.
