Hand-in-Hand: The Human Impact of Our Projects
With Telethon 2012 just around the corner, we thought it was the perfect time to share what's been keeping us busy in the homeland these past few months. Here's a quick update on how some of our most recently completed projects are doing--and more importantly--how these projects continue to make a difference in the lives of people and communities throughout Armenia and Artsakh. We first take you to Syunik Marz, to see how the newly remodeled Pediatric Unit at the Kapan Medical Center is giving the people of Kapan a new beginning.
Next, we travel to Artsakh, to witness, first-hand, how a new water distribution network we installed throughout Martuni is transforming village life for the better, giving residents much needed access to clean drinking water. From Martuni we travel next to the village of Vaghuhas, in Artsakh's Martakert Region, where the Fund's Argentinian affiliate recently completed renovation work on the local school. The new campus, unveiled in May, has inspired hope for a better future for the next generation of this village.
We then travel all the way to the capital city of Yerevan to visit the Nork Nursing Home, which was renovated by the Fund's Toronto affiliate earlier this year. The extensive remodeling project has transformed this facility into a place of comfort and dignity for its residence. Finally, we take a peak at the Togh Art School, in Artsakh's Hadrut region, where children from throughout the region now have an unparalleled opportunity to explore their creative talents and refine their artistic abilities.
